Despite Key being my super all-time forever bias, I actually only have one song by SHINee.
The K-pop lineup in my music library looks like this:
- BoA - 16 songs - her English album plus Copy & Paste and Game
- Girls’ Generation - 3 songs - Run Devil Run, Hoot, The Boys
- Super Junior - 3 songs - A-Cha, Mr. Simple, Oops!! (feat. f(x))
- SHINee - 1 song - Lucifer
- TVXQ! - 1 song - Keep Your Head Down
- 2NE1 - 1 song - I Am The Best
And parenthetically, f(x) featured with Super Junior in Oops!!
I’m also going to try and get my hands on Girls’ Generations The Boys album, as opposed to the lame maxi single SM Ent. has released to the world market.
Gah, and I have at least 4 more songs on my iTunes wishlist that are K-pop.
Lady Gaga - Marry The Night (R3HAB Remix)
Lana Del Rey - Born To Die
So you could say that I’m jumping on this bandwagon.
Nicole Scherzinger - Phantom Of The Opera (Live at Royal Variety)
From the voice that brought you immortal lines such as, “Don’t cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me,” and, “When I grow up, I wanna be famous, I wanna be a star, I wanna be in movies.”
EDIT: Oh gosh, duh, beaded Phantom is Ramin Karimloo. That explains everything.
O.A.R. - Heaven (Acoustic)
This song sounds like Oregon and rain and nighttime and being at peace with things.
Leona Lewis feat. Avicii - Collide (Afrojack Festival Remix)
This remix is nominated for Best Remix at the 2012 Grammy Awards, and let me tell you, it is far superior to the original.
The Fame (2005 Demo) by Lady Gaga
This is simultaneously terrible and fascinating.
Zac Poor - No Place Left To Go (feat. Prophet)
Flailing around on the floor.
Zac Poor - Criminal Heart
Sometimes when I think about Zac Poor, I want to just flail around on the floor and throw a tantrum, because he has such a great voice and seems like an incredible songwriter, but he’s literally disappeared off the face of the Earth after one release, and now I can’t find anything more recent than a year about him.
And I don’t know where this song came from, because it’s not one of the ones off his EP (Let’s Just Call It Heartbreak, which is basically seven consecutive perfect tracks), but anyway, it’s really good and I think you should listen to it.
Azealia Banks - 212
“Bitch-rap over club-banging beats.”
Lady Gaga - Yoü And I (A Very Gaga Thanksgiving Performance)
This was magical.
Lady Gaga - Scheiße (Guena LG Club Remix)
Honestly, I thought that album version of Scheiße was all I ever needed to hear, but this remix is honestly so much fun. There’s never a moment where I get bored.
YADi - Sahara Heart
Oh god, oh yes, oh my, yes, this is just, yes, mhm, oh yes, yes please, yes, thank you, very nice.
